We get it.

Being a teenager and trying to quit mind-altering substances or harmful behaviors is tough — especially when it feels like everyone else is doing it. At the FullCircle, our teen groups provide a safe place to connect with others who understand. You’ll meet peers who have faced similar challenges, along with staff who’ve been there and can offer real support.

A 12 Step-based foundation that works

Lasting recovery starts with a solid foundation. FullCircle’s groups for teens ages 12-17 are built on a 12 Step-based approach that has helped millions find freedom from mind-altering substances and other behaviors. Meetings give teens a chance to talk honestly about what they’re going through and learn practical tools for staying sober. Alongside that, weekend events and one-on-one support show that life in recovery actually can be fun. With consistency, encouragement, and real accountability, teens start to see that sobriety isn’t about missing out. It’s about building something better — both for themselves and within their families.

FullCircle turned my life in a direction I never thought possible. I’ve built meaningful relationships and repaired broken ones. I’ve received love and support when I needed it most. Because of the 12 steps and this program, I can finally say I’m proud of who I am today — and I couldn’t say that two years ago.

Our goals

FullCircle teen groups are designed to help young people build a life that not only is sober, but also full of purpose, connection, and fun. We focus on:

  • creating a reliable peer support system built on honesty, accountability, and trust;
  • strengthening self-worth and confidence through real friendships and positive experiences;
  • developing healthy coping skills to handle life without substance or other destructive behaviors;
  • encouraging teens to live by principles that give life direction, integrity, and long-term fulfillment;
  • helping young people take ownership of their recovery so they can thrive in life, not just in the program.

Who teen groups are for

Our teen support groups are a good fit for youth who are:

  • looking for an alternative peer group to support a sober lifestyle;
  • returning from treatment and need aftercare and ongoing support;
  • ready to quit mind-altering substances or negative behaviors and are best served by community-based, peer-driven support.

Our scope of support

FullCircle is not a clinical treatment center. We are a peer-driven, 12 Step-based program that walks alongside teens and families as they build lasting recovery. Our scope includes weekly support groups, one-on-one mentoring, sober social activities, and family engagement. We focus on equipping young people with practical tools, consistent accountability, and a safe community so they can sustain sobriety and grow into healthy, responsible adults. When a higher level of care is needed, we connect families with trusted treatment providers

I joined FullCircle in 2022 and it changed my life in the best way. I found a better way to live with an amazing community. I’ve learned how to have healthy relationships with my family and friends and to actually have fun sober. The people here have helped me become someone I’m proud of.

How our Teen Program works

The Full Circle approach to helping teenagers includes:

12-Step Meetings

Teens attend two peer-led 12-step based meetings each week. These groups are solution focused and give them space to talk openly about the challenges of early recovery — from handling emotions without substances to staying sober at home, school, and with friends. Meetings are where honesty, connection, and accountability begin.

Sober Social Events

Every weekend, the FullCircle program hosts fun, substance-free activities that help teens build friendships and learn how to have fun in sobriety. Whether it’s dances, retreats, or outdoor adventures, these events show that recovery doesn’t mean missing out — it means finding real connection and joy without the use of mild altering substances or other negative behaviors.

Family Support

Recovery isn’t just about the young person — it’s about the family, too. That’s why we provide weekly parent support groups and guided family meetings. Parents gain tools, encouragement, and support from others who’ve walked the same road, while learning how to strengthen relationships and create a healthier home environment.

Why this matters

Young people who attend both meetings and sober social events experience the greatest positive impact. Our program is most effective when it’s taken in its entirety. That’s why participation in meetings, sober social events, and family support is key to building lasting recovery.

Our experienced staff

Full Circle staff members know well that recovery is not a solo journey, and they work to provide for everyone who engages us supportive community every step of the way. Nearly all members of our peer support staff are in long-term recovery. They facilitate all 12-Step meetings and sober social weekend events — and they are available to work in coordination with larger healthcare teams or make referrals to higher levels of care or therapy if needed.
