Drew Thompson was 16 years old when he got sober in 2019 in Kansas City, Mo. It was an experience that gave him the hope and the purpose that now define his work. He joined the FullCircle Program’s staff in 2021 as an intern and since has served in multiple roles, including function and shop maintenance and 90-Day Staff supporting younger and older FullCircle participants.
Today, Drew serves as Senior Staff in Denver for the South Metro Program, where he meets with new families through initial and individual appointments, supports participants and their families through the 90-day commitment process, helps facilitate support and parent groups, and organizes weekend sober social events. Families and participants naturally turn to him for guidance, leadership, and encouragement — but also for the sense of fun and energy he brings to the program.
Originally from Augusta, Ga., Drew combines enthusiasm, compassion, and humor to create an environment where recovery not only is possible, but also exciting. He believes community and 12-step principles provide the foundation for lasting change, and he is committed to helping FullCircle continue to grow and impact families across Colorado.
